about my kitties

rosie and mittens are sisters from the same litter and my poor babies had a very upsetting introduction to the world before ever meeting me. their mama was a young stray cat, we dont know if their mama ever experienced a home of any sorts or if she was she was born on the streets too. their mama along with mittens and the rest of the litter were spotted and then reported to the local animal shelter where they were found and rescued in a bush they were hiding/living in, however rosie very heartbreakingly was not noticed by the animal shelter's rescue team and had been left behind for 2 whole days before they went back and found her.

mittens, rosie and the rest of the litter along with their mama stayed in the animal shelter until they were old enough to be homed. i was on the shelters waitlist for 2 kittens but i i was last on the waitlist so mittens and rosie were actually the only remaining 2 kitties from the litter. i was thrilled about them both being girls because i only wanted to have two girls, so it worked out very perfectly that the other people on the waitlist didnt pick them.

i dont know anything about the demeanor of the other kitties from the litter but i assume they were more approachable than mittens and especially rosie - because the shelter was very worried when i arrived to meet them and learnt their stories for the first time while i was there in person. they were worried i wouldnt want to take them because they were very skittish and did not want to be near any humans (especially rosie) they hissed and scratched my arms up causing me to bleed abit when i tried to hold them at the shelter, but of course i still very much wanted them and i did the paperwork and took them home that day.

because obviously as you all know i am unemployed, ever since that day that i brought them home i have been able to spend everyday with them, showing them what unconditional love and a warm safe clean home feels like.

rosie and mittens still get a little jumpy and scared sometimes if they hear a random loud noise but thats about it! they have come so far and im soooo proud of them!! they are no longer scared of me and are very happy healthy sweet girls who love to cuddle and play with eachother all day, they never leave eachothers side and luckily they never have to ever again.
